CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. After long criticizing President Trump in managing the Coronavirus, Biden finally has talked to the media about his plan how he’d address the Coronavirus.
The following is our unedited, verbatim transcription of the Biden interview. Warning: Biden does have a series of mental ‘slipping‘ in his answers. These may suggest signs of dementia. Let’s see how the interview went. We have included cited fact checks throughout.
Reporter: Tell us on Day One of a Biden-Harris Presidency, what would you do to mitigate the (Corona) virus?
Biden: “We’ll, I’m not even going to wait until Day One (stumbling) because we this the President of the United States, Donald Trump continues with the policy he has now.”
“There’s another 200,000 people dead between now and the end of the year. Of the 200,000. Number One. Number Two.”
Yes, Biden has some serious difficulty with speech as this is a common theme we and many others have found.
Biden predicts the number of Coronavirus deaths will double in the next two months. He cites no evidence to support his claim.
Biden: “What I’m gonna do is, I’m not gonna wait, I’m gonna be if um, President-elect, I have no authority, as President-elect, I’m gonna be on the phone calling governors all over the country saying “please, follow the science” – “issue mask mandates” – make sure people in fact have the capacity to be able to have the PPE they need. Follow the instructions of all the scientists are tell us.”
Biden says he would issue a mask mandate. But later in this short interview, Biden says he can’t issue a mask mandate under “federal law” (which is correct, technically it would be unconstitutional). Biden continues…
Biden: “Look. We’re in a situation where we have to fundamentally change the way which we provide testing.”
“We should be testing on a daily basis what we test in seven days here in the United States. We need faster and quicker tests we should invest the money and the time.”
So Biden thinks the 330 Million people (as of Aug 2, 2020) in America should be tested every day?
Not only is this impractical, logistically impossible, it’s insane. Can you imagine everyone in your town or city lining up every day (all day) (skipping work, etc.) just to go see a doctor or retail store to be tested – especially if you feel completely fine?
Testing. The fact is, President Trump did sign into law where the U.S. invested a massive amount of money on healthcare and aid relating to the Coronavirus.
- After delays by House Democrats, in March 2020, Congress passed a $2 Trillion Coronavirus relief bill which included $117 Billion for hospitals and veteran care, $16 Billion for “strategic national stockpile of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.”
- Bill also included $1,200 in direct payments to taxpayers; generous unemployment benefits, a half-trillion in business loans for small companies, plus another $350 Billion in potentially forgivable business loans (for small business payroll).
- The bill also especially targets to make sure that Trump family owned hotels/ properties receive no aid, which includes all their employees.
In April 2020, Congress passed another Coronavirus relief bill that included:
- Another $75 Billion for hospitals and another $25 Billion for Coronavirus testing with $11 Billion going to the states for testing.
- Insurance companies to provide free Covid screening/ “preventive services.”
- Trump has wanted more aid for workers, families, a pay roll tax cut for workers, and infrastructure projects.
- The House did pass a $1.5 Trillion “infrastructure bill” but is was really a Green New Deal job killer. It was not considered by the Senate in its current form.
- In the same month, Pelosi blocked a $250 Billion aid bill for small business.
CV19 rapid testing can be done in any U.S. hospital, any U.S. doctor’s office, most pharmaceutical retail stores (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens), some grocery markets that have a pharmacy, private hospitals, private medical/ emergency centers, drive-thru clinics, and local government owed free clinics. The CDC has said, “not everyone needs to be tested.”
Thus, for Biden or anyone to make the claim that there isn’t enough testing, or money for testing is FALSE.
Biden: “We should be in a position where we are fighting for protective gear for everyone ahead of time. You’re short of an here in this state and many other states are as well because the President has not taken, made the effort to make sure we have enough backup.”
It was TRUE that under the Obama-Biden Admin they did not replenish a nation-wide shortage of PPE after the H1N1 (swine flu) virus pandemic. H1N1 originated in Mexico, affected over 60 million people in the USA with a reported 12,469 deaths.
Even though the H1N1 virus infected young people including children, no schools were closed. No businesses were shutdown. No mask orders implemented. No media panic occurred. No shortage of toilet-paper.
Biden: “Number Three. We’re gonna make sure we’re in a position where we stop politicizing the notion of vaccines and talk about how it’s available, when it’s gonna be available and and that probably won’t occur until after the first of the year.”
As I predicted, the Coronavirus went political as soon as the Trump-Russian-Election-Collusion Hoax and Impeachment fantasy both failed.
There are currently over 150 CV-19 vaccines in development world-wide. The Mayo Clinic acknowledges that vaccines can normally take years to develop assuming a cure is found. The Flu (influenza) has been around over 100 years and there is no cure. There are no current cures for cancer, Alzheimer’s and an alphabet full of other incurable diseases either.
There is nothing that Biden or anyone else can do to make a vaccine come faster. This requires scientific study and patience which is been underway. See New York Times “Coronavirus Vaccine Tracker” for current vaccine status.
Biden: “But do we have a plan in place? Ready to go one Day One. Where it’s free and available to every American. How it will be distributed?”
President Trump said last May 2020, he would “rapidly” mobilize the military to distribute vaccines when ready.
“Our military is now being mobilized so at the end of the year we’re going to be able to give it to a lot of people very, very rapidly…”

In September 2020, President Trump discussed plans that the federal government will make the upcoming vaccines for everyone in the United States – FREE. On October 16, 2020, President Trump said CVS and Walgreens will also be distribution centers for free Coronavirus vaccines.
Biden: “In addition to that, we should set national standards which I laid out back in March and then again in May, which say that we can open our schools, our businesses safely, and not spread the disease, but it costs money.”
“The Congress has already passed the money in the Hero’s Act, already passed the money in the Cares Act, to allow people to open.”
“For example: Businesses are shutting down, one in six are going out of business small businesses. But if we provide the money for sanitation, for ventilation, for dividers, for making sure the People have the mask and the testing going in it, we we can open them up.”
This is not a “sanitation” or “ventilation” problem but a political problem. As cited in the two said huge government funding programs, money for testing and PPE gear is already there. That’s not the problem anymore.
Schools primarily in Democrat states have refused to open even though children have thus far been shown to be the least risk as of Oct. 28, 2020. The biggest Coronavirus risks are to those with existing underline health issues.
Business closures are primarily in Democrat-controlled cities. Unemployment is primary the highest in Democrat-controlled states, and the lowest unemployment primarily in Republican-controlled states.
Biden or anyone else can’t force the states to allow state-ran schools to open, or force private businesses to open. As cited in the last paragraph, the problems are with the primarily Democratic governors and Democratic cities.
The roughly 1,800-page “Hero’s Act” was passed by the House but only by 9 votes. This means, many Democrats voted against it.
The U.S. Senate has not taken up on the $3 Trillion Hero’s Act after just spending $2 Trillion+ on the Cares Act, and those funds had not even been fully allocated.
The Hero’s Act has nothing to do with ‘heroes.’ It has some repeated aid like the Cares Act, but it is loaded with political wish lists.
The Hero’s Act would allow:
- Taxpayer money for illegal aliens in the U.S.
- $500 Billion bailout to mostly Democrat states who have mismanaged their economy from overspending and forced shutdowns.
- $25 Billion bailout for U.S. Post Office which doesn’t even come close to their over $100 Billion in unfunded liabilities just in 2014.
- Permit to nationalize voting registration, called “contingency planning.” This would have forced the current 2020 election, and future voting to be exclusively by mail.
- Act also bans voters from having to show any ID to vote in elections. So send ballots in the mail, don’t check who they are from, and you have the perfect recipe for election fraud.
- These are just a few samples in the act. Nothing to do with heroes.
We continue with Biden’s Coronavirus plan:
Reporter: (Reporter then talks about Iowa gov would not issue a mask mandate.)
Biden: (interrupting) “That’s why people are dying here. That’s why things are moving so rapidly here.”
Biden thinks people are dying because they aren’t wearing a mask? If a mask could prevent diseases or death, then there would no longer be a need for medical professionals. There is no science to prove that any particular type of mask will prevent any illness.
Reporter: Would you step in and make a federal mask mandate or look at hot spots? What is your plan…(Cross talk with Biden).
Biden: (interrupting) “What I’d do I am also going to be meeting with every Republican governor and eh, every Repub-Democrat but also mayors and county executives. Urging them to step up when the governor doesn’t step up. Step up and issue, and require them, to ask them, to make the kind of need decisions that have to be made. And I think they are willing to do it.”
“Look um, this uh wearing a mask is not a sacrifice. It’s about being patriotic. You’re wearing that mask not to protect yourself, protect your cameraman. He’s wearing a mask not to protect himself protect you it’s a Patriotic responsibility.”
Again, there is no science to prove that any particular type of mask will prevent any illness. If one is ill or has symptoms of illness, a mask may help from spreading some germs onto healthy people, such as from coughing and sneezing. There is no scientific reason for healthy people to wear masks.
Reporter: (paraphrased) Iowa’s local municipalities can’t issue local mask mandate without the governor’s “thumbs up.” So yes or no, would you mandate one in states like Iowa?
Here is where Biden admits that most likely he has been privately advised that a President, nor Congress has NO Constitutional authority to mandate masks or other articles of clothing.
Biden: “I don’t think I am able to under federal law. Mandate, I will mandate masks (wear?) on all federal property and interstate transportation.
But I would just make a, I would make a case, constantly about what the governor wasn’t doing if in fact the law says in this state that the local officials cannot independently.”
Reporter moves on to Obamacare. Biden says he would turn Obamacare into Bidencare. This is what Bidencare would look like. The video and further reporting can be seen here.
Summary.
Mr. Biden has not offered anything new in how he would address the Coronavirus.
In short, there is nothing that Biden has proposed that has not already been done by the Trump Administration.
House Democrats have blocked all family aid, small business aid, eviction protection and unemployment aid bills since the Cares Act has been expiring beginning July 25, 2020.
Last August 2020, President Trump issued an Executive Order with up to $400 a week for unemployment aid, a payroll tax holiday using existing unspent funds in the Cares Act. Trump also extended renter and homeowner eviction protection and additional relief.
In September 2020, Trump signed an Executive Order protecting those with pre-existing health conditions.
On October 25th, House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) BLOCKED another Coronavirus aid bill.
