SNL Mocks Obama’s One-Man Government Over Immigration Order
original article written by Net Advisor™
NEW YORK, New York. On Thursday, November 20, 2014, President Obama defied federal immigration law, defied the majority of voters of the United States, defied Congress, defied the United States Constitution, and unilaterally and illegally gave de facto amnesty to about 5 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally.
The left leaning TV comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL), offered their parody of Obama’s immigration action based on this 1975 School House Rock educational cartoon of how a bill generally becomes law.

Now the SNL 2014 Skit on President Obama’s version on how a bill becomes law (below):
How the Obama Administration ‘Broke’ the Immigration System
President Obama has repeatedly said our immigration system is “broken”. However our findings in this 29-page report show that the President through his Administration have intentionally and systemically been dismantling the U.S. Immigration system.
In 2008, President Obama said that bypassing Congress was “unconstitutional” (video). Since then, President Obama has also said he is “not a king” (audio), that he is “not a dictator” (video), and could not unilaterally pass legislation such as immigration reform.
As it turns out, President Obama has acted as the very things he said was, “unconstitutional,” and that he could not do.
Why is it called “de facto Amnesty?”
Obama’s de facto amnesty essentially defers the deportation of up to 5 million illegal aliens in the U.S. for two years. After that, they are all supposed to be deported. That works out to be deporting 13,698 people per day for an entire year, including weekends, holidays and government vacations.
No one actually believes that the Obama Administration or future Administration is going to deport 5 million people, which is why the President’s unilateral action is considered “de facto amnesty.” The result of Obama’s immigration action has the effect of amnesty.
If you are in a country illegally, and the government does not deport you, thus allowing you to stay, that’s de facto amnesty.
The Executive Branch (Office of the President) (simplified version) of government does NOT have the authority to legislate (write new or change existing law) under the United States Constitution Article I, Section 1.
A U.S. President does NOT have the authority to decide or change immigration and naturalization law under the United States Constitution Article I, Section 8. Only Congress can legislate (Article I, Sec. 1), and only Congress can determine any and all immigration and naturalization law (Article I, Sec. 8) [Full report].
What will Congress do to stop a lawless president from violating federal and Constitutional laws? Stay tuned.
