Is Obama’s Lack of Border Security Putting Americans at Risk?

WASHINGTON DC. The U.S. Dept. of State acknowledges that Terrorism is a global problem that is not limited to Iraq and Syria [U.S. Dept. of State Report, 29pps].
[1] Obama Threatens Congress
When it comes to defending America, President Obama has repeatedly threatened Congress [recent examples (Jan 2014)(June 2014)(July 2014)(Aug 2014)(Nov 2014)]. If Congress does not send Obama an “immigration reform” (AMNESTY) bill that Obama doesn’t like, then the President says he will act on his own and pass legislation (illegally and unconstitutionally), bypassing Congress’ legislative authority and issue his own law through Executive Order.
President Obama is so against securing American’s borders that he had the DOJ sue the state of Arizona for trying to enforcing immigration laws in their own state.
President Obama’s action could also legalize or create a path for foreign drug cartels and terrorists living and operating inside the U.S. border.
[2] How Obama Could Inadvertently ‘Legalize’ Drug Cartels
Foreign drug cartels have been in the U.S. for many years. Examples:

In fact the U.S. Dept. of Justice discovered that one drug cartel in the USA was founded in the 1980’s and began as a prison gang.
“Barrio Azteca gang began in the late 1980s as a violent prison gang and has expanded into a transnational criminal organization. The BA is primarily based in West Texas; Juarez, Mexico; and throughout state and federal prisons in the United States and Mexico.
The gang has a militaristic command structure and includes captains, lieutenants, sergeants, soldiers and associates – all with the purpose of maintaining power and enriching its members and associates through drug trafficking, money laundering, extortion, intimidation, violence, threats of violence and murder.”

The 1980’s was the last time the USA had a mass amnesty program with the promise of finally ‘securing’ the border. Amnesty happened, border security? Eventually we got more agents, but the number of border apprehensions (arrests) has shown a seep decline from 2000-20012, and plunged under President Obama’s watch.
In April 2010, Arizona law enforcement were threatened by a Mexico drug cartel after they seized 400 pounds of marijuana with a value of $250,000. By 2012 under President Obama, the DOJ closed the National Drug Intelligence Center.
In April 2014 Sam Page, Sheriff of Rockingham County, NC said that the Mexico drug cartels have infiltrated in more than 3,000 U.S. cities.
Maryland, is roughly 1,000 miles from the U.S. Texas border. Sheriff Chuck Jenkins of Frederick County said his office has detailed 1,250 illegals of which 50 had ties to the Mexico drug cartels.
President Obama’s amnesty, delay or non-deportation move could allow these drug cartels to continue to operate in the U.S. until they are caught. If they have no prior police records, they could apply for permanent status just like any one else. When they get caught committing a crime, they then get a free defense lawyer.
Proper border security enforcement could help reduce more cartels in the U.S.
Some U.S. states have illegally passed marijuana legalization laws including for recreational use. This same type of drug legalization hasn’t worked in Mexico, where more murders and other crime increased, not decreased with legalization.
[3] How Obama Could Inadvertently ‘Legalize’ Terrorists
The same analogy can apply to terrorists living inside the USA. Obama’s unilaterally amnesty could effectively legalize sleeper cell terrorists already in the U.S. The Obama Administration’s failure to maintain the border sovereignty of the United States places Americans at risk.
The President surely doesn’t want to legalize terrorists inside the USA, but it will be pretty difficult for Obama or even Congress to only legalize or create a path to legalization of people of a certain race or from certain countries. That might be seen as discriminatory, and the effect could bring legal challenges by groups of people inside the USA who may be less friendly to U.S. policy, and some who may seek to harm the People of the U.S.
Making these people citizens would be hard to deport them to what country? They would be entitled to criminal lawyer in the event of a crime, apply for taxpayer supported welfare, healthcare, education, and even housing subsidies. This is not in the interest of the American taxpayer.
[4] Terrorist Border Watch
In 2010, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a report stating that of the 880,000 people captured from crossing into the U.S. illegally in the prior year 17,032 were from counties, “other than Mexico, Latin America, South America, or western islands.”
Many of these people sought to sneak in the U.S. illegally, and came from countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, and Yemen for example – all from countries that have either anti-U.S. views or have terrorists groups operating from within.
U.S. Border Patrol found that some of the illegal aliens they arrested had apparent affiliations or sympathy associated to terrorists’ organizations {Report, Point [34]}. We have no idea how many terrorists made it into the U.S. unchecked, or how many continue to pass through the borders (Full Report).
A. Boston Terrorists
Islamic terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev, “Boston Bomber” was born in Russia and was never a U.S. citizen. His brother and co-conspirator, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was born in Kyrgyzstan, and was granted his U.S. citizenship on 9-11-2012. Less than one year later, together the Tsarnaev brothers reportedly killed five people and injured 280 others during a terrorist bombing attack at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013.
The Boston Terrorists’ mother has an outstanding U.S. warrant for shoplifting; their sister charged for counterfeiting.
B. Removed From “Watch List?”
In May 2014, Fox News reported that a U.S. Senator was concerned after learning about an email and “an airline passenger with apparent ties to Middle-east terror groups.” The person of interest was later removed from the watch list despite being a “close associate” to terror groups. DHS allowed this person in the U.S.
Separately, U.S. charged a student with bomb making. The Russian student is non-U.S. Citizen in the USA on a Student Visa.
C. ISIS Crossing The U.S. Border?
Senator Jason Chavits (R-UT) discussed with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly that there is a report of four suspected terrorists who attempted to cross the U.S. southern border on September 10, 2014. There was a previous report in August 2014 where Islamic terror groups are operating in Mexico and planning attacks on the U.S.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) stated he got word from U.S. Border Patrol that “at least 10” Islamic State (ISIS) “fighters” were caught trying to cross the U.S. border. Rep. Hunter questioned how many ISIS terrorists did we not catch?
A former CIA agent said in September 2014 that ISIS is already in the United States and have come here via the Mexico border. A DHS spokesperson denied the reports on Sept. 10, 2014 of ISIS’ plans to infiltrate the U.S. via Mexico, but could not defend or explain the report’s findings.
On September 19, 2014, Democrat Congressman Tim Bishop (NY) said up to 40 out of reported 100 radicalized U.S. citizens flew to the Middle-East for terror training, have now returned to the U.S. The FBI is reportedly ‘watching’ 40 of them.
In October 2014 at least four “Islamic terrorists” entered the U.S. – Mexico border and arrested by Homeland Security according to Judicial Watch.
The FED’s don’t need to watch suspected terrorists and terror supporters, they need to arrest them if there are here illegally, and especially if there is reason to believe their intent is to cause harm to the US. Anyone in the U.S. who trains with terrorists, provides material support, comfort, aid and the similar is a crime under the Patriot Act.
Under the 2001 Patriot Act, Section 808 defines one as a ‘terrorist’ including but not limited to 2339 (relating to harboring terrorists), 2339A (relating to providing material support to terrorists), 2339B (relating to providing material support to terrorist organizations) [Source: Patriot Act, (P109) view link only/view local PDF 132pps].
Watching them, even when asked, didn’t prevent the Boston Bombers from committing terrorist acts against the people of Boston. In fact, DHS ADMITTED they knew one of the Boston terrorist trip to train with Islamic radicals in Russia. Russia warned the U.S. of the Boston terrorists’ ties to Islamic radical group in Chechnya.
President Obama granting some amnesty-type program could make people like the Boston terrorists, ISIS or other terrorists’ supporters or sleeper cells already in the U.S. having many of the same rights as legitimate law-abiding citizens. Clearly securing the border immediately should be a top priority for Republicans when they take official control of the U.S. Senate and retail House in Jan 2015.

It is a bit disconcerting when an U.S. President and his followers do not have any interest in border security, and such puts Americas at risk.
