Democrat Senator: A “Train Wreck” Coming

original article written by Net Advisor

WASHINGTON, DC. There has been much discussion about Republicans defunding ObamaCare. The status quo is not working. A hard look at the economy, jobs, inflation, U.S. credit rating (See report 1, 2, and 3), higher interest rates, massive debt and the overall U.S. outlook is a train wreck waiting to happen.

If we stay on the current path the economy risks serious issues that will make the 2008 (really 2006 – to date) recession look like a sunny day at Disneyland. At that point, I would argue that progressives will then reassert what they tried to do in 2008-2009 and take over the banking, insurance, and healthcare (oops too late?) industries in order to “save them,” or “save jobs.”

The U.S. government already controls the most of the $5 Trillion mortgage and $1 Trillion student loan industry. This is debt that is not included in the National Debt, but are potential liabilities for taxpayers.

One Senate Democrat, Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee says he is concerned that ObamaCare is that train wreck.

“I just see a huge train wreck coming down,” he told Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius at a Wednesday hearing. “You and I have discussed this many times, and I don’t see any results yet.”

Senator Baucus was the leading author and original supporter of ObamaCare. Last April Baucus said at a hearing to Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius:

“Small businesses have no idea what to do, what to expect…You need data. Do you have any data? You’ve never given me data. You only give me concepts, frankly,” Baucus told Sebelius.

Baucus also admitted in 2010 that he never read his own ObamaCare bill.
