2013 SOTU Predictions & Fact Check
original article written by Net Advisor™
WASHINGTON DC. Tonight President Obama will make his annual State of the Union Address (SOTU). State of the Union is supposed to give us factual account of how the country is doing and the direction we should go.
After observation and having written 117+ articles analyzing what government has been doing, especially over the last 4 years, SOTU seems to have become a more political fantasy of where we would like to have been, who haven’t we taxes yet, and how much more we need to “invest” (spend).
Here are 5 key predictions of what Mr. Obama is likely to say (or may not say) and the facts that will likely be missing from the speech. If we are wrong, we’ll correct them after the speech; but after seeing the same speeches for 4 years and the results, we’ll take odds that we’re on the accurate side.
Mr. Obama will talk about:
[1] All the jobs “he created” over the last 4 years.
> FACT:
“Unemployment Rate Same Today As It Was When Obama First Took Office” (Source: CBS) (PDF)
He will add, “there is still more work to do” (or phrased similar). He will not give specifics on what exactly he will do to create new jobs, unless he still feels that giving taxpayer money to Chinese and bankrupt U.S. companies making solar panels is still the future to American’s prosperity; and drilling our own domestic oil is not a solution?
Just a few articles of the solar carnage that has resulted in lost jobs, lost investment to tax payers and investors.
- Abound Solar Inc., a U.S. solar manufacturer that was awarded a $400 million U.S. loan guarantee, will suspend operations and file for bankruptcy (2012)
[2]. Obama will blame Republicans saying they are getting in the way of the “Sequester” and (R)’s want to cut spending, hurt grandma, social security, medicare payments, cut education, etc. — all statements would be false.
> FACT:
The “Sequester” was requested by Obama & Team. NOT by Congress or a single Republican.
[3]. Obama will say along the lines that we need a more “balanced approach” and “more revenues.”
> FACT:
There was no “balanced approach” as Obama called for in the Fiscal Cliff. The result has been more taxes, and no material spending cuts. Fiscal Cliff will add $4 Trillion to the deficit. Obama also promised not to raises taxes on the Middle-class, but he did exactly that.
> FACT:
Obama raised national debt increased by $5.805 Trillion (or $5,805,853,001,656.04 to be exact) in 4 years with nothing to show for it. The problem in government uncontrolled spending, not lack of tax revenue.
Here is some help with Liberal-to-English dictionary.
[4].Obama will note that we need to ban “assault rifles” and have more regulations and control over firearms.
> FACT:
According to 1,000+ U.S. Army Special Forces, the civilian version of the AR-15 is NOT an assault rifle. The military version (not sold to the public) is called the M4A1 carbine.
> FACT:
Counties such as The United Kingdom and Mexico that implemented a total firearms ban have seem crime and murder rates soar. Hint: The criminals didn’t turn in their guns when the law was passed. Only the lawful citizens turned in their guns leaving them defenseless and 1,000’s dead (Full Report).
[5]. In the Dark?: Benghazi, Algeria, Iran & North Korea
Finally, we would be surprised if there is a mention of the whereabouts of some 30 rescued people from the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya on 09-11-2012, or a status on what the Administration is doing to ‘hunt down and bring those to justice.’ (Articles on the Benghazi and cover up).
We also expect to hear nothing about the 3 Americans among as many as 37 or more others who were killed by terrorists in Algeria last month.
Iran or North Korea‘s nuclear ambition is likely to get more than a few words if any. Sanctions have not worked in either country, and Obama plans to do what to prevent them from eventually using nukes when his own Administration seeks to reduce our own nuclear capability.
