List of Travel Warnings by U.S. State Department

The U.S. Department of State issues Travel Warnings to U.S. citizens regarding potential safety and security concerns of the U.S. government.
“Travel Warnings are issued to describe long-term, protracted conditions that make a country dangerous or unstable. A Travel Warning is also issued when the U.S. Government’s ability to assist American citizens is constrained due to the closure of an embassy or consulate or because of a draw-down of its staff.” {1}*
The countries listed below meet this criteria.
PLEASE NOTE: Countries that have a line through them represent either a broken link from the original source or the State Department removed the travel warning.
